    Default A Youngun from Upstate NY

    Hello everyone! I just started reading about frugality recently and devoured The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn. I'm so excited about trying a new lifestyle which will benefit me, my family, and the planet. So far I have learned being frugal takes work, but its fun and SO worth it!

    How did you hear about frugal village?

    I was searching for parts to my mom's Oster Kitchen Center and found a thread where a woman noted she had found parts for hers for 3 dollars! I had never thought o search for a forum on frugality but I am glad I stumbled on this one!

    What interests you here?

    Anythings and everything! I have so many unanswered questions about the best ways to go about certain things and now I finally have a group of people I can ask!

    What will you contribute?

    Whenever I think of a new way to save money or come across an amazing recipe I will gladly share it with others.

    Nope, not yet at least

    How many kids? Ages?

    2, so far. DD is 2.5 and DS is 3 months.

    Tell us about yourself.

    I am 24 years old, happily married and a stay at home mother. I am also a pastors daughter, soon to be a youth pastors wife, and am a co-youth leader with my husband. I teach youth sunday school every sunday. I also have a ga-zillion certifications like CPR, water safety, scuba diving, lifeguard, CRLA tutor, Cosmetologist, first aid, and someday I will get my massage therapy licence. STill working on that one.

    Do you own any pets?

    No I'm not fond of pets. I loe animals when they live outside my house

    Interests and hobbies?

    I love organizing and sorting and cleaning out. I love shopping around for the best prices and saving money. I inwardly wish I could work on the TLC show Clean Sweep and make everyone get rid of their crap. I LOVE to read. I enjoy cooking and sewing but I am very new at both so I am not too talented at either, but like to learn!
