I think we have a mouse. In the bedroom. DH is sound asleep and I don't want to wake him up. I will not sleep until this has been taken care of. I am such a weeny when it comes to mice.

Poor thing - I know how you feel!!

Options - wake DH - that's my call!! Or if you have a mousetrap, set it and put it in a paper bag outside your room and let it do it's work!! When it snaps, you won't have to look at it, just toss the bag away!!

We had mice over the winter. What's really goodis that we have two cats that would rather play with them than catch them. I sat and watch fuzzy take hard food and make a pile with her paw by her dish and actually sit and wait for the mouse to come out. Then she would bat at it and chase it around the kitchen til she got tired of playing. She'd get it a couple times and then let it go and chase it some more.lol. I think they are all gone now though. We set a couple traps andhaven't seen anymore.

We had some mice over the winter and set up the glue traps and while we did get rid of the mice, we also caught Zippy three times (there was nothing on the trap to hurt him ~ no bait, just glue). We didn't use the snap traps or the baited traps because we KNEW he would get into them.

JRT's LIVE to catch varmints and he did his part. We leave the traps up all the time and he checks them every. single. day. He has a little routine when he comes downstairs in the morning ~ it's really funny to watch.

BTW, if you catch a pet on a glue trap, soak the appropriate part in vegetable oil to get the glue off

We can't find any evidence that a mouse has gotten into the house. What I heard was probably one in the wall or climbing on the plumbing pipes underneath the house. I bought some glue traps and DH will set them out.
We don't have a cat. We have a rat terrier, supposedly bred to catch rats and mice. She'll put a mama pit bull in her place but is afraid of mice. She jumps on the bed and shakes when the mice make noise.

It makes for a really long night when you have to listen to them scurry and gnaw in the walls. One of my first jobs when I moved out on my own had mice so bad that they would run over my face at night when trying to sleep (very upsetting) I was so happy to move on to better housing. I hope you will be rodent free soon.

Checked the traps - no mice. No noise last night, but I think I wouldn't have heard a MOOSE, I was so tired. I found the mouse bait that goes under the house and dries them up or something like that, so that will be done today.
Hestlauss, I can't imagine sleeping with mice running over my face. Hmmm, you've given me something to think about next time I hear those noises.
