    Default Bed Bug alert

I was reading on yahoo news that bed bugs are really going to bad this year. You dont have to be a dirty person to have these. They are found in some of the cleanest homes. Im washing the sheets and stuff at least 2x a week.

Oh my I don't know if I want to go on vacation because I don't want to bring any hitchhiking bedbugs home with me. That is one way to save some money by taking a homecation.

I saw it. My husband travels internationally. We have been on alert for sometime about bugs. My husband has a whole "checking " routine. Pulling back covers, never leaving suitcase on flooor or open. The suitcase goes in the basement immediately when he gets home. Wash clothes as soon as possible in hot. This started when England was celebrating "National pinworm awarenes day". AAARRGGG. He was going there about 4x a year at that point.

I've been reading about this for a couple of years -- one of the sources is immigrants. They come in on luggage, for one thing. It's really made me hesitant to stay in motels/hotels or buy any used upholstered furniture. One story I read about a couple in the New York who finally abandoned their apartment and its belongings because they simply could not seem to get rid of them.

I remember one year when my oldest daughter was around 8. She got head lice from a slumber party. It was a group of girls around 12 of them passed this stuff from 1 girl to the next, it was to the point i had to stop letting my daughter play with them, to let them in the house ect. The parents were not fully getting them gone, they treated the hair but not the bedding, stuffed animals.
