Talking Have a Safe Holiday weekend

You all have a great weekend. We are staying home. Working around here. Maybe plant some flowers. I decorated my porch and in a americana theme today. So will work on that tomorrow. But please be safe on the roads its the innocents ones that suffer.

We are staying low key this weekend too! Dh pinched a nerve in his neck on Thursday night, so he'll be in bed most of the weekend!

The kids are headed to my parents house for the weekend, so I think I'll get some gardening and house cleaning done! I always love busy holiday weekends, but it'll be kind of nice to just get some things done and relax and not have to run around to any BBQ's this weekend!

Once my fiancee wakes up we will be taking a ride up north to look at some model homes from the builder we want to build our home. It's one of the cheap things we love to do, only money we spend is gas. Tomorrow I want to stay home, catch up on laundry, and house work. I work on Monday so I won't be out with the psycho drivers, unless the Amish get a wild notion to have a buggy race down the road. I hope you all have a safe happy weekend also.

Hubby has to work today and tomorrow At least he is off Monday. Neighbor is going to bowl crawfish, potatoes, and corn and have ready this evening when hubby gets home. I plan to make a dessert and take beer.

Depending on the weather on Monday, we might take a day trip on the Harley. At this time they are predicting a 50% chance of rain; so we might just have to stay home.

Mary, have fun on that bike if you get to ride. We were out yesterday and it was perfect. We have a 30% chance of rain today so we are going to take the TransAm and take the t-tops out.

I'm working all weekend! The park where I work is packed as usual! Campsites full, people and little kids everywhere and the pool opens today too! We have family reunions at the shelters too. Oh and did I mention the dogs? I've never seen so many darned barking, yapping dogs in one small area in my life! It will be hopping from now until Monday about noon when they all roll out! I love to stand in my office on Monday morning of a holiday weekend and watch the campers roll out LOL.

Work has been tiring this year. The boss has a major attitude and it's starting to bug the crap out of everyone! The girl who works with me was off all winter and is a little ditzy now for some reason. She calls me every day with some question because she can't remember how to do something or can't figure something out. So even my time at home isn't time off exactly.

The new guy is AWESOME! OMG, just mention to him that something might need to be done or looked at and he's off to do it. SUCH a change over the last two years! The first year I worked there I asked the guys several times to build me a flower box to go on the porch railing of my office. I love flowers and every year I take two planters full of flowers to set on the steps to my office. I wanted a flower box on the railing because I could look out the big window and see them. I asked very sweetly and told them just sometime when they had a day or two with nothing to do if they would PLEASE make me one. In TWO years the other guys couldn't find time to get around to it. Even in the winter when they spend DAYS doing nothing. I asked the new guy ONE time a month ago. When I went in on Thursday here he came with a flower box for me! He is really crafty and he built it out of a piece of gutter! Anyway he put it on the rail and I filled it with petunias yesterday! So nice to finally be getting some respect up there!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone!

Probably pretty low keyed here for the most part. Normal weekend stuff laundry etc. and visit the cemetaries and then Monday make the 45 min trek to MIL/FIL for family cook out and as tradition usually goes eat in as it is so cold.

Stay safe every one a hope you have a great holiday with whatever you are doing.
