I'm back
I haven't been around for a while with classes, family and my blog I've been so busy. Now that my classes are over I will have a little more time to check in here more often.
My husband still hasn't been called back to work and he hasn't found anything else yet because no one is really hiring right now for machinists. I have been looking for work because I don't have many classes left and the ones I have can easily be worked around. There's quite a bit of jobs around here that i could do, so I have been sending out a lot of resumes and have went on 2 interview. I am hoping that I get hired soon.
As soon as I get a job, we are going to really start working on getting our credit cards paid off. Hubby's introductory rate on one of his cards ends in November (to 6%) and then to 15% in April. I just received my statement from Juniper and my interest is now 14.99% - used to be 8.99%!!! I never recieved a letter saying they were raising the rate so I called them .They supposedly sent letters out in March but neither my husband nor myself received one. They said they raised everyone's interest rates because of the economic troubles (or some crap like that). So, we are even more determined than ever to get them paid off. We owe about $4000 total and as soon as I am working we will send anything over $600 a week total (between my pay and hubby's unemployment) right to the credit card companies. I figure if i get a fulltime job paying at least $11 an hour that we could send about $200 a week and have all our credit cards paid off in a matter of months.
So hopefully things will start improving - I'll get a job and he will return to work. And then we can start looking at getting a house put on our land again,.

Welcome back and good luck with getting a job, things paid off. I was reading on another board about credit card interest rates going up. It looks to be a scary time for anyone with a carrying credit card debt.
