hey- been gone sometime now
Hi everyone, hope some of you remember me...it's patty, married to Joe mom of Kira and Gabie.Life had been a roller coaster for so long, am finally getting a grip on things. If you recall, I'm severely bipolar and have been hospitalized four times alone this past year.I stopped drinking, and tried AA( not for me )think if i need support I'll go the route of a group geared towards mental health, therapy etc....
Joe finally has regular work as a crew chief of a painting company.he had gone through BOCES for electrical engineering, got a job with that then was once again laid off..,.Now back to painting, as he was origionally laid off from his job of twelve years with the school district. We have medicaid, and all I can say is thank God!!!we were recently slapped with a twenty thousand dollar hospital bill ( arrrggghhh just got out of credit card debt!!!)And since it is inpatient medicaid won't cover it and we are responsible. That seems to be our curse, always getting new debt once we clear something up....but that is true for so many especially in this economy.
I stopped working as a waitress in september, had held the job for a year which for me is very good.I am home with the kids now and it works as we live with dad, pay four or five hundred rent a month( more if we can swing it)and Joe makes about 650 a week.I have my good days and bad days, but am better equipped for handling my downs, as I've stopped the alcohol, and do things like yoga regularly.and meditation....I am looking to get back into martial arts at a kung fu school in which I am offered a position teaching children( two of my greatest loves in one place!)only have to find a way to cut corners here and there in order to afford the tuition.
well, enough about me for now, my son is restless-
hope all s well in the village-
patty

Glad to hear from you. Sorry about the hospital bill but if that hospital stay helped you it is worth it. It seems that things are starting to lookup a bit for you. Keep on doing what you can and the village will be here for you. Best of luck.

Welcome back and glad to hear things are somewhat better. Congrats on quitting drinking. BTDT. Just know you will be in my prayers and I'm sure there will be lots of support here.
