%^%*(&* curb!
I was called in to work early on Friday and didn't have time to make myself a lunch. I stopped at Quizno's to get a Torpedo.
This particular strip mall has TINY parking spaces. Well, this stupid ditz in front of me couldn't decide which parking space she wanted to be in, so she couldn't get into either. Being polite, I backed up to give her some more room. When I pulled forward, I cranked the wheel a bit...and ran my right side up onto the curb...doing $404.00 worth of damage to the right rocker molding! I was soooooooo pissed by the time I got to work, I was shaking.
I will NOT drive my car in this parking lot again if they are passing out thousand dollar bills.
Fortunately, the damage isn't that noticeable to anyone except those as anal as me about cars. I am going to have it fixed as soon as I can. However, I have jury duty starting next week ( in a town 15 miles away!), so I am going to have to work around that. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Oh jury duty and getting a car fixed!
I feel for ya. I have been in so many fender benders and wrecks, its just crazy. I can so understand that angry emotion.
It's frustrating how so little damage can add up to so much dollars.

OUCH, I feel your pain. My car has a scar and I refuse to fix it. This poor little car was hit by someone's shopping cart at WM less than 12 hours after we bought it, hit by 2 deer before we made the first payment(first trip to the body shop), I slid on ice at the top of a curvy hill and went into a bank thankfully since it was a drop off there(second trip to body shop), and last a total bumbling ninkinpoop move on my part, I picked up the car from the dealership after they had to fix a defect on the AC/heat control knob, and while backing out I swiped the concrete base of their sign. It was lower than I could see and I had no idea it was so close. It tore out the light, replaced at $350! As long as it runs I'm not fixing that scar. It's kind of a reminder to watch where I'm going.

That stinks! In the subdivision behind us (that I occassionally cut through to save time) has this horrible divider curb at the enterance. I have hit is so many times. Well, I don't think I am the only one, becuase this spring, someone took some bright orange spray paint and painted the curb with it, so it stands out and is more noticable!
I do have to say, since I've hit it a million times, I knew it was there, but thought it was funny that someone painted it blaze orange!
I hope you can get it fixed and good luck with jury duty!

Well, my insurance agent says not to turn it in since it's "only" $404.00. Since I will soon have teenage drivers, she says to save the insurance fro when we REALLY need it. Dang...
