    Default Our Long's Drugs is turning into a CVS

    We went to Long's Drugs this evening and found out they're turning into a CVS. They were giving away medicine spoons and refrig. magnets. I got me a CVS card I know they give you 2% back per quarter, how does that all work? And do they take manufacturer's coupons too?

    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”

    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference

    You are going to love CVS. Yes they take manf. Q's. You will earn ECB(extra care bucks) with your purchases.ECB's are basically their refund program. They print out on your reciept, and you can save them (they do expire so read carefully), or use them immediately on your next purchase. After you get the hang of taking advantage of the sales, ECB items, and working the coupons with all the rest you will find you can shop for free. Go to their web site and sign up, they send emails about once a month with extra savings you can print, usually something like " save $5 off $15 purchase" . These usually expire that weekend but if you wait to shop on the weekend it may be worth it.

    I LOVE CVS! I only get to go when I am in the city for a big shopping trip, but I try to make the deals work and they usually do.

    *Something happened when I posted this message. It said I love fried spam over and over. I have no idea how that was added into my post.

    Yes CVS is awesome! They do take manufacturer's coupons. Go to iheartcvs.com and it will lay everything out step by step for you. Where you can find coupons with the sale items...what items you can get for free, etc....You will be addicted. I became so addicted that on the sunday of thanksgiving when they started their"black friday" sales...I went out in a snow storm and drove to CVS to be there when they opened, 9 am...so I would be able to get their sale items...before they were sold out for the week! I had a man follow me out of the store telling me how amazed that I got everything in that cart for the amount I did, and that he never thought of using coupons like that! I was pretty proud of myself, until I realized I had to drive back home in the snow storm....20mph, top speed...Oh well!! LOL

    I also love CVS! I think that the workers recognize me every week when I go in there as the crazy girl with the tons of coupons and ECB's. You are going to love it!

    I also go to iheartcvs.com to get everything mapped out for the week. If you have a Walgreens in your area you can use iheartwags.com.

    Our Longs is also changing over, but I don't know when. It was family operated for soooooo long and the buyout was announced, but then nothing - no cvs coupons, etc. etc. Walgreens is also opening a new store. I am really anxious to start saving a lot of money!! Mahalo for the info!!
