    Default Another newbie :)

    Hey everyone my name is Lotus...or at least that's what I'm going to have you all call me lol, will explain in a minute.

    I'm a twenty-three year old at-home mother to two beautiful children. "J" (my son) who is two and a half, and "S" (my daughter) who is a few months shy of being a year old! I love things like natural and green living, fitness and nutrition, reading, writing, activism etc. I'm also a Christian, and also a vegan...there are also some other things I am that I'm not comfy talking about yet lol.

    Anyways so I'm here because I'm going to be leaving my husband due to domestic violence in a little over a week. I'm temporarily going to be in a DV women's shelter until I can get a steady job, get some money (he doesn't have me on his bank account), and things like that. So I'm going to definitely be living frugally. It's going to be a bit hard from me. I'm going from a place of extreme comfort (my hubby makes over 100k a year and by 2011 it's supposed to be closer to 300k) to a place where frugal is a *necessity* to live.

    This isn't going to be easy, but I know I have to do it for me and my babies.

    Anyways I hope to get to know all of you more soon!
