Checking In...
Hello everyone! I've been a real slacker the past week or so. So much going on but I will try to fill you in.
School is over! Well not over completely but I did complete my course and received my two year certificate on the 26th of May. Wednesday I went and signed up for my fall courses to go on and complete the degree potion of the schooling. The day I received my certificate, my teacher took me aside to see what my plans were. He owns one restaurant and is getting ready to open another in July. He told me he has a position for me in either place. I told him I was really interested in a position at the new place and he said ok, call him in two weeks. He knows I want to finish the degree and said he will work me either part time or fulltime. Woo Hoo!
Monday, the 1st, I had to take Prft Strngr to the airport. She came down for a 10 day visit! We had a wonderful time. She is like a sister to me. We have known each for a long time and even though we aren't blood related, we have a bond like sisters.
Last week we had an opportunity to meet with forHISglory, at her home for lunch. I had met her previously but Holli hadn't. We were graciously welcomed into her home where she prepared the most wonderful lunch. We had plans to shop in St. Charles but I think we would of been just as happy to just sit and talk with Diana. BTW... thank you for the wonderful soup recipe. Wendell loved it!
Wendell is finally scheduled for his disability hearing. Hopefully we will get some good news and not have to wait for another year. Its hard to believe we've been dealing with all this for the past 14 months.
We are loving the new house. I have been trying to get our garden in. The rain hasn't helped much. I did manage to get our tomatoes, onions and peppers planted but that is it. I am still picking asparagus from out patch but I think it is nearing its end. I am hoping to work on an herb garden this weekend since its suppose to be nice.
I better go. I need to start thinking about supper. I have really missed you all here. Hope you all enjoy your weekend.
