My daughter is crushed, she didn't make the Canada
Games Team.
She was flipped into the water by a rival and it is her word against the others because no one saw. It's over. Two years of hard training, one race and it is over.
She is devastated. And I am hurting so bad for her....
It was the worst possible out come...
this one girl was out to get her, if she had lost fair and square that's one thing but this....!
This is awful.

I'm so sorry. I don't suppose you were anywhere things were caught on camera? Disappointments are plenty enough as you grow up w/o being the victim of what we call "takers". ( these are the people w/ huge rights of entitlement issues who feel they are above the rules and the law.)

That's it... not everone will win, far more will lose but to win by cheating is just horrible.

My daughter is already feeling better, and dusting herself and ready for the next thing... she is taking it far better than I would!

Holly, I am so sorry to hear this. I remember when you said she was training and competed in another event to get the to this point. How awful that someone had to stoop so low as to flip her to better their own outcome. It just shows you who the better athlete really was.....your daughter!!

I'm sorry to hear about that happening. How awful. It sounds like you have a very mature and responsible daughter. I'm 100% sure that your daughter will go a lot farther ahead in life than that other 'cheater' girl. ((HUGS!))
