If I am lucky I will get 5 hours straight, usually it is more like 3. I do stay in bed for 7-8 hours though. I have three kids under three - it comes with the territory.

I never get enough sleep! During school I get 6-7 hours at night and then I take about an hour's nap after the kids go to school. I have to force myself to get up 'cause I could easily sleep all day. I need and function best with 11 or 12 hours, but then I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I wake up a lot some nights getting hot or cold or both. I slept for 12 hours straight last Saturday. I felt good when I woke up. I hadn't done that in a long time. Dh kept the kids out so that I could sleep.

I'm an 8-9 'er. If I don't get *at least* 8 hours, I have problems functioning the next day.
A nap in the afternoon always does me a world of good too, even if it's only 30 minutes.
But I've been this way as long as I can remember, even during my teenage years.Michelle in middle Tennessee!

4.5-7 hours usually, while waking up every hour or so during. I'm a bad sleeper..wake up a lot, and no matter how long I sleep, I never feel rested. I've done 2 sleep studies, I don't have sleep apnea, but for some reason I only get REM sleep before midnight and after 6am, and well, I'm up at 6 everyday but sunday, and am in bed around 11, so not very restorative!! Am trying to not lean on caffein anymore, but to do more physical activity in the day. The good thing is, when I finally do have a baby, the sleep deprivation won't be a shock

One thing is...I never..ever..ever nap unless I'm really sick. Cant sleep in the day!Last edited by champagnium; 06-17-2009 at 12:28 PM.

I get a good eight hours of sleep usually. I love to nap on the weekends for an hour or so in the afternoon.

I used to toss and turn all night, then my Dr told me that not getting enough sleep makes you age faster, and you gain weight, too!! So...I take 2 melatonin tablets every night, and I fall asleep within 20 minutes and sleep SOUNDLY, usually 8 or 9 hours per night. WOW, it has changed my life!! (not to mention I can deal better with the financial worried come a knockin')
