Wood Bath Mat
Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody has ever used a wooden bath mat. I saw a nice example in myer and I was wondering if they work well. I was also wondering if anybody has made one. The ones I have seen for sale in stores are made from pine that has been stained and sealed. When I did an internet search I saw some very nice cedar and teak mats. Im sure I could make one without much hassle. Anyway could anyone think of any negatives or positives for for the ideas above?
Thanks in advance!

Well i have a teak wood bath mat i got at bed bath n beyond. What i like about it is there is very little mold and it washes off easily. Only wish it is a little bigger.

If you stained it and then it got wet......would there be a possibility of it staining your floor? Not sure I would go for the 'wood' ones.......how many people using it? How long for it to dry out? If it DOESN'T dry out between uses what stops it from molding? Where do you put it to dry? If it is wood and not lying flat to dry would it then warp?
Curious questions........I will just keep the one that I can drape over the tub to dry.....and toss in the washer.
