Thumbs up A FREE fun filled evening. :-)

9yo DD and I are having a girls night out tonight. We are going to have lots of fun and everything on the agenda is FREE!

*We recently found out that our library is in the same system as the one in our capital city so we can use it for FREE- it is supposed to be awesome with a fantastic children's library and lots of books that we can only get if we wait for inter-library loan from our local library. We are both so excited to explore this place.

*Then its off for a picnic in the park that we've packed and made together.

*After that we will be headed to Barnes and Noble for "American Girl Night" where dd will get to make a free craft. (The closest B&N is in Jefferson City, the state capital, and the rest of the 'girl's night' kind of spun off from there.)

*Finally a free outdoor movie is playing on the capital lawn. We're taking our own popcorn and drinks.

I'm so excited to have found so many fun things to do and can't wait to have a little one on one girl time with dd.

Wow This sounds like great fun!! I am very excited to take my boys to the main Library downtown Portland when they are here this summer. We plan to ride the MAX train down and spend as much time as we want exploring.

And I recently heard of free movies in the parks here this summer too!!

I hope your have a wonderful weekend together.

It was lots of fun. They do the American Girl nights and the movies frequently but I don't know if we'll get lucky enough that they are doing them on the same night again. It was a really great mother/daughter night and we will be finding ways to do that again soon! :-)
