I know it is silly, but I still get excited about my birthday. In just a few hours, I'll be leaving my 43rd year behind and embarking on my 44th. 43 has been a fun ride, but I'm ready and eager to see what's ahead! I see promise and adventure, and I want to get to it!!
I've ordered up my favourite cake (carrot) for tomorrow and am preparing to let the festivities begin!

When I was little, in my family and school when it was someone's birthday and it was your turn to give them a gift, you'd say "Happy Birthday, and many happy and healthy returns of the day." Meaning, may you have many happy and healthy years ahead.
As an adult I realized no one in the world says this anymore but me. But still, I never feel like I've wished someone Happy Birthday properly until I've said:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADHEN AND MANY HAPPY AND HEALTHY RETURNS OF THE DAY!
