Default daughter's 42 cent skirt at JC penney

She loves skirts. She paid 42 cents for a three tiered skirt that she loves and it matches stuff she already has very well. Original price $26.99

It was on clearance and I let her use the $10 off of 10 or more coupon that we had received in the mail.

42 cents for the skirt and she asked if she could keep the hanger and they said yes.

    Great find!

I just used my $10 off $10 or more as well. Was able to get an adidas t-shirt and adidas capris for $7 and change after using my $10 rewards too. I was very impressed with myself.

Now if only they gave out more coupons like that!

Actually, she is a spender but is good at finding deals. She is only 8 so we still have learning time and are working on the other aspects of frugality and financial responsibility with her. Learning how to save. She is now putting a % of her allowance in the bank each week. We are making her actually walk in and hand the teller the money and keep a saving book. She is also suppose to plan purchases. So she has made a goal chart and fill in how much more she needs. She keeps changing her mind on what she is saving. LOL Oh, and who can pass on a good deal like the skirt.

She is planning on wearing the skirt on father's day. She paired it with a hand me down top and hand me down shoes. There probably is hope for her not to turn into a spend spend spend girl.

Good deal with your $10 of 10 or more coupon.

My best deal I had with my $10 of 10+ coupon was when daughter was a baby. I got a carter's sleep that she needed for free. I was $10 total so ended up being free. That was a strange feeling walking out of the store with a bag, receipt, and the sleeper with no money exchanging hands.

I get the coupons about three or four times a year. Christmas, Easter ( I think), Mother's day and Father's day. My mom says she doesn't get them at all or once a year or so.

How often do you receive them?

We got one for Mother's day and one for Father's day so far. We mostly get free shipping over a certain amount usually $75.

They seemed to have come down a lot in prices since I was a teenager, or maybe it was just me having hardly no money and everything seemed very expensive.
