It can quit now!!!
Gee I'm getting disgusted. We had saved up to do doors and windows. Had already did the contract so we were committed when murphy stopped by over and over. We already knew my car needed new tires and a muffler but since these are not emergency's we were saving for them. No need to tap the ef just because there wasn't quite enough in the car account.
Water heater spring a major leak and had to be replaced, basement wall started leaking quite bad, sump pump died, sick critter, another sick critter, oh gee another vet bill, riding mower needed a new battery, engine work and tire, dh forked out a lot of $ for work and still hasn't got reimbursed , The front brakes went to pot in dh's car, the heat died in mine and it wasn't the easy thermostat fix. 2 Stove burners died, microwave bit the dust! The list just keeps going. Ugh!!!!
Joy of Joys yesterday we are in dh's car and we hear the rear brake sound like it is grinding. Now why didn't they notice that when they did the front brakes 2 weeks ago????
Amazing how a 3 month ef goes so easily down to a 1 month on bare bones.
Still don't have my tires or muffler done on my car ,
still dont have the all the cash for spending saved for the 4 day muscic festival next month but the tickets were bought months and months ago. Had some saved but little emergency's keep popping up. I contemplated selling the tickets but dh said no way! I know we can keep the spending minimum since we can go out to the car to eat etc but can't carry a thing in. So we are stuck buying water a lot.
Still have the water park trip in oct for dh's family reunion and had to spend that $ I saved so far on another mini emergency
I go out to let the dogs out this morning. Dh has my car because I'm taking his to the garage. Normal so far! I look at his car and notice it had a huge crack covering half the windshield! You have to be kidding me!!!!!!
Yes, I'm kind of disgusted and discouraged but by no way defeated!!!!!!!!!
Please send me the Murphy repellent
!~
Then I get the real news. Storm clouds may be on the horizon!!! Dh was laid off last OCT until FEB. He went to work for one of the best companies! They are huge all over the US and over 100 years old. He was thrilled beyond belief but torn about not going back to his old company. He was leary of the old company because they were small and had laid everyone off for months. He was glad he didn't wait and go back there because the guys that held out and went back are not full time and he needs full time.
Sounds great right! Dh heard Fri that since this is a new branch in our area of this huge company. Something that they haven't tried before. Dh heard that they will be reviewing all the zone numbers the 1st of August and if the revenue is not high enough they may do away with it in this zone. Oh heavens!!!!! I sure hope that is just a rumor but it would make sense.Last edited by nodmicks; 06-22-2009 at 08:47 AM. Reason: adding

I am still just amazed how a 3 month ef can go so quickly over about 8 weeks with things breaking, falling apart etc!!!! I think my goal will be a 6 month ef and then a year ef. Still need to replace a car or two (heaven forbid but they both are HIGH miles).
I'm getting frustrated but we will get there!
Dh did agree to absolutely no eating out!!! That is a plus as he usually fights me on it.
Saving for school stuff for the kids too. Used mypoints for an old navy card.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

Nod im in the same boat. If murphy comes back, i will have to take drastic actions and drowned him.

people or things.
