New from Overseas
Hello All
I am a SAHW and have been married 13 years. I used to be quite frugal but I have gotten way to relaxed lately. So I need to step it up.
I just moved from New Zealand where my husband got his bachelors last year to Germany in January and accrued credit card debt of 6,575 Euros. DH and I have been debt free for 8 years, so disappointed but we needed new appliances and to renovate the house we moved in to make it live able.
To top it off, he had to take a 15% pay cut starting next month so hopefully the company he works for will not go bankrupt. So I am trying to pay off this CC debt while refurnishing our EF.
Wishing everyone a beautiful day.

Hi Rangia......WELCOME TO FV!
Stay active and we can help get you back on the frugal track!
Very jealous that you got to live in NZ. I loved it. Very clean and pristine, not to mention the WONDERFUL people! Is this your 'home country'?

I am American, I grew up in Oklahoma. My husband though is German. He went to High School though in Oklahoma. We moved originally to Germany in 1998 and are now back.
NZ was beautiful but didn't fit our lifestyle. Oh well, Europe has many advantages as well.

to FV, Rangia!
I'm jealous of you for both NZ and Germany. I have friends in Germany and they seem to be very happy with the lifestyle there.

Hi Rangia,Welcome from MIchigan. A move can kill your finances. Especially when you don't know the area for deals. You'll get it back under control.
