    Default My kids are awesome!

    Yesterday was my birthday and we are visiting my family at the beach for the week. I knew that we had planned a family dinner with cake and ice cream to celebrate, but the girls had other ideas up their sleeves. Working with my step-mother and my mom they decorated and shopped and planned a totally awesome day for me. Including a whole day of childcare, so I could do whatever I wanted.

    We swam in my dad's pool, had beef & veggie kabobs on the grill and I received really awesome presents. My mom gave me quilting supplies to get me started on learning how to quilt and a new sewing box with gift cards to Jo-Anns and Khols. The children gave me a grilling basket for veggies and fish and a new journal.

    They completed it by "painting" on my car windows how much they loved me and signing their names. I never realized how special a day planned by my children could make me feel.
