Mollie Sugden has died
I have been working on the computer all night and I just ran across her death announcement.
"The Yorkshire-born star died in the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford this afternoon. Her twin sons, Robin and Simon Moore, were at her bedside", according to her agent Joan Reddin.
Apparently she passed away this afternoon. She was 86 and was ill for a while now. I just love her as Mrs. Slocombe in "Are you being served" and "Grace and Favour" I have the complete dvd collection and also catch her on public tv at times. I have only ever heard how she was such a nice lady. May she rest in peace.
If your a fan of "Are you being served" you will know that Wendy Richard, who played Ms. Braham's died this past Feb from breast cancer.
There seems to be so many dying who are in the public eye. Yes, some live a long life, but there just seems so many at once.
I'm hoping my Mrs. Bucket (Bouquet) stays around for many, many more years.Daisy

Doesn't it seem as if you've lost a friend. I agree that so many in public life are leaving us now.

No I didn't know about Wendy. Thanks for posting this. I loved her. I was a huge fan of "served".....and while I really like Mrs. Bucket...... I liked the preacher and her husband too. They cracked me up just to watch them. I would have loved to see the 'out takes' of those shows as I didn't see how they could deliver their lines with a straight face!!

I always watch the outtakes on the dvd's of Appearances, they are so funny! Sometimes when I watch the actual show, the outtakes pop in my head and make me laugh.

My hubby loves the comedies on BBC. I'll be sure to let him know. And it's so true how the stars, some definely too young, are passing. I heard Karl Malden died today too. He was 97.

11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I loved her in "Are You Being Served?" I rented everything that she was in that our library had to watch last summer. She was a great actress.
