    Default soothing sound

What is the most soothing sound to you? Mine is when I go to bed and my two cats come with me and lay and purr. I know this sounds weird but I was never considered normal by no means lol.

My favorite soothing sound is the ocean. The few times I had the opportunity to be there the sounds of the waves washing in were so relaxing to me.... if I can't have that... the sound of the water running in the fish aquariums DH has....

The most soothing sound is the sound I hear after I put my earplugs in my ears.

I don't have a soothing sound. I sleep through thunder storms, trains, and tractor pulls across the street. But let me hear the tv or someone talking too loud and I'm up and telling them to quiet down. If it's too quiet I can't sleep and if it's not quiet enough I can't sleep.

I love the sound of the ocean too. I also find the sound of the freeway or interstate soothing. I lived next to I-5 nearly my entire childhood. Something about the cars going by lulls me to sleep.

Mine would have to be the ocean.
I had the best sleep ever in my life one night at a friends house in Costa Rica that was right on the ocean.

Have tried those radios that have sounds and the ocean to too fake........too regular/constant.....they are horrible.

I like the sound of a train far away in the distance. I don't live anywhere near an ocean either.

We have a sound machine and I usually keep it on everglades or train. I grew up near wetlands (coastal Mississippi) and the frogs would start up at night. There was also a rail line not too far either so both of those work for me.

I like the sound of the ocean as well, although I don't live anywhere near one. In the absence of the ocean, I like the sound of my fan. I keep one on every night and it's hard for me to part with it when it starts turning cooler.

LOL, silence really IS golden, isn't it?

Mine (next to silence) would probably be lying in bed listening to a thunderstorm with that nice rolling thunder, and even big cracks of thunder.

Mine is the sound of a light, steady rainfall. I also love the sound of high heels walking across a wood floor Kinda crazy isn't it?
