Default LOL on kiddo and ebay!

I ran across a rock bottom price on a few items I thought would do great on ebay. I'm not great on the picture taking and editing. My youngest son is a great photographer and knows how to do great things with photos on the computer.

I offered him a little commision on the sales to do that work for me. I am always bad about checking my ebay sales to often. However kiddo is even worse. He is constantly calculating him commision LOL

He reminded me that we should stop back where we purchased the items and buy more to sell!

Have you taken into consideration the listing fee, final value fee, and paypal fees? They REALLY add up. I ask because I am a long time eBay seller and storeowner. eBay has lowered their listing fees, but they have raised the final value fees. Between eBay and PayPal they get somewhere between 15% and 20% depending on how you list, extras, etc.

    Good Luck!

Interesting information that you have to share. I've been thinking of selling some things on eBay and am always looking for useful information. Mahalo!!

Yep we sure have. I started all 5 auctions auctions really low and we got 5 free listings. Gotta love it when an item I paid .99 for goes for 13.99! yeah!

Anyways you look at it is still extra $ for only a bit of our time. Plus it was fun with DS. Oh except for him thinking we should bid on a car.

Thanks. Ds is a math wiz so he figured it out way before me. . Looks like between the 8 auctions we spent 8 to make 62 minus the lfees. Not bad!

Great job & learning lesson for DS.

The fees are ridiculous!! When I first started a few months ago, a .99 auction final value was COSTING me .02. Never mind the gas to get to the PO. I am now real careful on what I list, even with the 5 free.

Glad to hear that you are making a profit at selling on e-bay. I've been reading a lot about e-bay raising their fees and such. Glad to hear you are coming out ahead.

How old is your son? I wanted to say i think its great too. U can make some good. I sold alot of carnival glass, vintage items plus name brand clothing. Its great for the kids to see the value of taking care of there toys and resale and the value they can get back out of them,
May i ask what you bought that you are reselling. Im not selling so dont worry i wont run out buy what ever it it LOL.

Ds is 13. I was at our scratch and dent and ran across ottles of Rogaine for .50 (had almost 2 years until expiration!)and Nexxus products that salons no longer carry since Nexxus went in the retail stores and the salons now do the Nexxus phyto line because we don't want to carry what is in the retail store.

FF~ yep as long as he works at it sure his commision can go up.

We are going to check again for more today. I'm not holding my breath though. I think it was a fluke.

    Nana wow on that 15K!
