Can someone please help
My son purchased an expensive gold chain while on holiday in Orlando a few months ago , today he went to get it valued at a local jewellers , they have told him its fake . Who or where should I raise a complaint to ? .........I will ask elsewhere for a second opinion of the chain before I take it further . We also bought a pair of watches from the same store ,and as you can imagine feeling very worried about then too
ThanksIf you think education is expensive , try ignorance

I'm no expert, but I would contact the BBB and the attorney general of Florida. I would also contact the Chamber of Commerce in Orlando. That might be some starting points.

Yes, ForHISGlory is right, thats where I would start as well. Sometimes just contacting the store and telling them you are calling thise places will get some action as well. Just dont send them back the merchandise until your reimbursed .

My first question would be what type of store was this? Was it a flea market or temporary shop?
If so your chances are not really good at getting any help. Do you still have a recipt? Did you buy it with a credit card? If so they maybe able to help you. Unfortunatly because Orlando is such a high tourist area their are alot of shady and dishonest folks there.
Sorry to hear about you scam. Makes all of Florida look bad.

I would start with the local BBB in that town and go from there. I don't think your credit card company can help you at this late date.

You might also see if their is a jewelry association (I can't think of just the right word) in Florida - someone who could hold over them a revocation of some sort.
You will probably get only a 'caveat emptor' but it's worth a try.
