Finally Moved

We are finally moved. Not all unpacked, but all of our stuff is here, lol. The 'net got turned on yesterday. It's been a long few weeks and will be a long few more weeks. I've set the 18th as my deadline as I've already invited folks over for a party.

glad you are home. Just take one box at a time and take some relaxation time. Moving is more stressful than we think.

Congrats on the moved.Just unpack those boxes one at a time.Remember though anything not unpacked in 6 month-one year needs to go.

If I waited 6 mo. - 1 year to unpack something then I wouldn't have to pack it up for the next move, LOL. I've moved 3 times in 3 years. We're a military family

I've started to have a true hate for cardboard boxes. They've got to be out of my sight. Maybe the decor/pictures won't be perfect, but the boxes inside the house will be unpacked.

So far the kitchen is unpacked and is in working order. Thank God! The eating out KILLED us financially and physically. All that eating out made dh and I sick I tell you. When you aren't used to eating crap food it doesn't agree w/ you.

I unpacked all the boxes that were in my son and daughter's room this week. They are missing some things and those boxes must be in the garage somewhere. Due to my back issues my dh will have to find those missing boxes and bring them in the house to be unpacked this weekend.

Dh started unpacking/setting up the office 3 days ago. That's his project for this weekend. He needs to get that set up on his end and then I'll go in and finish my side of it. I'm saving our bedroom for last.

If I didn't give myself some sort of deadline I'd have these darn boxes around me for a month and I can't live like that.

Congrats on the move, good luck getting everything unpacked and enjoy your housewarming.

DH and MIL/FIL have told me so many stories about moving every year or so and I can only imagine how brave one has to be to uproot themselves before even feeling settled. So all I can say is you and other military spouses are fantastic people.

Congrats on your move. During your unpacking box`s don`t forget to take time for your self. Just dont over due it. you don`t want to hurt yourself. it`s so good to have you back.
