Hi from Chicago (or thereabouts)!!
Hi, I'm from a little town just west of Chicago.
Big fan of Frugal Village, finally registered
I'm a married SAHM/WAHM homeschooling mom of 1 boy (8 yo).
Until 2006, I was in IT. We downsized our lives drastically when I stepped off my career. I still write freelance, but our day to day existence is radically different than before - I'm still on the learning curve of living fully on so little. I get a big thrill out those tips and tricks that help me create a healthy, happy home life.
I love the quote someone has that being frugal doesn't mean being cheap. In a lot of ways, our lives are much richer now.
I'm a foodie, love British TV (my techie DH downloads my shows for me on a homemade DVR), and try to live in gratitude.
One of my favorite things about Frugal Village is the supportive environment for everything from losing weight to saving pennies!- Elizabeth
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,
anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
