Lightbulb 40th Anniversary of Moon Landing

Found a GREAT resource for the 40th anniversary of the moon landing!! www.wechoosethemoon.org shows, in real time, the 1969 moon landing starting with liftoff and ending Monday with 'one small step'. Original news and NASA footage, interactive stuff, simply awe inspiring.

I was 14 and remember it so clearly. There was a full moon that night, and they walked on the surface around 9:45 pm local time. Late into the night, people in our neighborhood were out on the streets, just silently looking up at the moon in the sky, and imagining it all.

I'm one of those people who thinks the entire thing is a sham. I guess I'm not alone:

It was a great time....rather aw inspiring.

And it was really errie when they showed the piece on the news with Cronkite telling about it......he had tears in his eyes. Space was sort of 'his thing' anyway.

There was a really amazing documentary on National Geographic today discussing the various conspiracy theories and disproving them.

It's one of those things that has never interested me much, in fact, I wasn't even aware that it was a subject of controversy until recently!
