On Feb! 22 2009 Dgs was at his mothers . Had just left and had driven his croch rocket a 100 yards down the road poped a willie.
as the bike came down Michael went to the left and the cycle went to the right.
On the first flip his helmet came off. He continued to rollover , hit a concrete colvert rolling more till he hit a tree head on.
His cousin and dgs stepdad saw it happen . the step dad run in the house told dgs mom , and they both took off running.
DGS was laying face down and his mother turned him over. He had tree bark in his mouth and in the deep cut above his lip. He was chocking and she pulled all the bark out of his mouth.
They called 911 and told the cousin to call pawpaw(DH) . DH got there
Just as the ambulance got here. They didn`t think he was going to make it. Some one called airvac. within seven minutes after the ambulance carried him where they needed to airvac picked him up and took him to Erlanger hospital.
They didn`t think he was going to make it either.
His eye lids were bigger than golf balls. they kept a neck brace on him for a few days , strapped down and in a coma.
He spent 8 days in ICU total of 10 days in hospital We stayed at the hospital those 10 days. He left there and spent 5days in rehab.
It was a miracle he isn`t dead. He had multiple skull and facial fractures and of course swelling on his Brain. A broke nose,left eye
Turned to the side. And nearly blind in the right eye.
Dh has taken off work to take Michael to all his doctor visits, which have been many.
Tomorrow he had a appointment to have eye surgery on his left eye. They will be able to straighten up his. Then he`ll have to see another eye specialist to get glasses.
He`was given the okay to drive , the specialist said he might would see good enough to pass the eye exam if he had to. Thats all Michael needed to hear. He had not driven in three months.
He was having driving with drawl.
The doctors at the hospital had told us he may be different , It might change or it might not. He is different some..
We have raised our DGS for 10 yrs. now . He is our pride and joy.
He was 17 when he had the wreck and he is 18 now.
He has some trouble focusing and remembering.
He still tires easy. He wants to get a job but hasn`t been given the okay he still has swelling on his brain. And we don`t know if he could hold down a job are not.
It is such a miracle he is still with us and I thank God.
And the ones that were able to get to hm so quick. If not for them all he would not be here today.

Michael Has just left to go to the childrens hospitals. It will take 3hrs. to get there.
I want to thank all of you for your prayers ,thoughts for us and your hugs. It means so much to me.
When he comes back his eye will be straight. And I`m so happy that they
