New...Again....
Hello All,
I have been registered on this site for some time, but seem to get completely sidetracked by life!! For a while now, I have been headed in the wrong direction, but I am now trying to refocus! I am a single mom that has been thrown a few curve balls since my divorce in 2006 and it all can get depressing.
It's a long story how it all happened, but I take full responsibility even though looking back, I would not make the same choices regarding bailing one of my kids out of financial trouble and indulging the others in post-divorce (guilt?).
I'm not sure how to do one of those ticker things, but I did list my debt so that I can have at least some accountability!
Not only have I acquired the debt, but I have acquired a few extra pounds, too!! I am just sick about it and as soon as I figure out the ticker I am going to add that to my challenges as well.
My goals is to be debt free except the mortgage and car by the end of 2012 / beginning of 2013. I already figured out my "snowball" in order to achieve this! I am, perhaps, going against some of the advice in that I am adding to savings at the same time. My emergency fund has dwindled and I just get nervous about that. As soon as I have it built up to a certain amount, I may refigure and put more into my snowball effort.
Weight wise, I want to lose 50 pounds by the end of 2010. My problem(read excuse) is that I have a very early morning work schedule....I get up at 4-4:30 am and by the time I get home, I am exhausted and end up crashing for an hour then getting up, eating and then going back to bed!! I think if I just push myself a little to either walk or pop in an exersize DVD I could. I also need to alter my diet.....it's actually not too bad, but as I have aged, it seems I need fewer and fewer calories.
Well, this is waaay too long......thanks!

Thanks everyone.....I appreciate the welcome!!
Here's another example of how life gets to me......my daughter is home on leave from the army and her and her fiance have decided to go ahead and get married *this weekend* so that they can be stationed together.
It's all good...I like the guy and all....it's just that this is the kind of thing that always seems to happen to set me back. I am trying to keep myself under control. I did purchase her dress, but it was only $66. They bought everything else so far. After the ceremony, we are all going out to dinner and that is going to run about $2-300 depending on how much people drink. I'm hoping that the groom's side will offer to chip in half!!
Anyway......thanks for the welcome and after this weekend, I hope to participate more!
