Barking dogs
Ok my neighbor decided to get her house fumigated,(whole nother story) lets put it this way she houses atleast 20 male cats that sprays. Its gross. Instead of putting the dog in a kennel or have some one house the dog she ties it to the porch and let all her cats run free. So Thursday night the dog barked all night. Friday night same thing we finally called the cops and said listed someone needs to get ahold of her, by 1am my husband and i, the neighbors on the other side of her, was talking to the police, They issues a ticket. Her12 year old is a total little brat. Her mother makes her this way.She desided to stand at on the sidewalk in front of my house this morning, just to get my dog barking. Then she is like well you need to shut your dog up its barking. She is the type of child you could smack for a loop. Its her moms fault, she allows it.

eeeeeewwwwwwwww.......don't you just LOVE living next to IRRESPONSIBLE pet owners? Got a few here too.
We have a 'barking dog ordinance' too. But by the time the complainer jumps through all the hoops to document the barking, and the people do their thing regarding the documentation, the dog could have died!!

Is this normal? Her dog barking at night?
It was one night and on the second night you called the cops?
If it was not an issue before, and it was limited time for her to get the house done, (and she had no where or no money for a kennel etc.--which we don't know of course)----then wow, to me you jumped the gun on calling the cops.
I think a few nights of dog barking (if you knew it would end soon) could have been tolerated.
BUT me, I live in the country and dogs are outside all the time. I hear dogs alot. I am used to it but I just think that the speed at which ya'll called the cops seemed awful quick.
(BUT remember I don't know if this was the only 2 days the dog barked or not)
just my view if I read it right??Last edited by Karen1; 08-01-2009 at 02:32 PM.

She is the type the lets her dog poop in everyones yard but her own. Yes this was the second. She was called on her cell the first night. Her attitude was ohwell. This is not fare to everyone else that obeys the laws..She has no respect for others at all.Why should my family have to suffer all night from a barking dark, im not the only one that called.Several others also called. We are just sick of it. We can't open our front door because the smell from house blows in the wind to our house

My
..........and I think a RESPONSIBLE dog owner would have made other plans for the dog before the fumigation started. I would have called the cops on the first night! NO ONE has the right to disturb anothers peace and quiet that late at night. It is called common courtesy when living in the city!

The dog does not stay out all the time. What if this was winter -0 zero or very hot weather. When the police showed up last night she had so many cats , the police asked where the lawn was. I kid you not, there had to be at least 30 cats in her yard. so here sets a dog that has maybe 4ft rope must poop on the porch because it can't get to the grass and all these cats are setting there .She does not need animals. She lets all these cats outside and then letting them all in house, THE ONE SHE JUST FUMIGATED. She never treated any of the animals. So i told hubby i want to have the yard sprayed, none of them have had rabie shots nor fixed 5 cats that stays out side are pregnant. Its a mess. She has 2 more days of fumigation left. The cop told her if he drives by and the dog is tied up and barking at 2 am, it will be another fine.

Hey nana......don't you have some sort of regulation about number of animals someone can have without a kennel license?
Can't imagine what good it will do to fumigate with that many animals. Bet she hasn't had them all on flea medicine either......if you have fleas in your area. Another cat hoarder!!!!!!!

yea that was why I kinda didn't want to type to much in response cause I had the feeling there was more going here then just a few nights of dog barking.
I despise anyone letting their mutts crap on my yard..HA HA HA
They need to keep the poop on their own yard! I hear you there big time!!!!!
edited to say it might be time to call ASPCA....with all those cats she could be classified as a hoarder and they will take action. If vet care isn't provided and all that.....just a thought.
Is the house that bad that you can truly smell it at your home? My goodness how can she live there?Last edited by Karen1; 08-01-2009 at 04:16 PM.

IT'S BAD.
It's really gross. Im to the point i wonder if a call to the health department would work. Her daughter has asthma. My husband mentioned one day that smoking around her would make her astham worse, she said thats all horse Sh@@.No of that was true. You always here them both hacking away.Ontop of all the cat urine smell and the flea dander. She has 2 litters of kittens in the garage right now..You know breathing all that smell and cat urine can not be healthy, the smell makes me sick. I don't mind animals but to live like that, i would say is abbuse to her child and to the animals. If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
people or things.

Cats don't need licenses but most cities have limits of 3. I would check into your ordinances. This woman has mental health issues reguarding her animals. Chances are great she has no vet care for most of them. Maybe an animal rescue group could help the situation.
Social services and the health department are a good place to start.
Sometimes things just get out of hand w/ people but the little girl is probably ill because of it. You know their clothes have to smell and she must go to school like that.
