I heard this on the news too.
Also wondered who paid for the study. And agree with most of the other posters.........not more nutrious but 'safer' as far as chemicals.
I don't eat that much organic just because of the high prices. I don't use sprays on what I grow.

I don't buy organic cause of price.
I don't buy alot of produce though, I farm.
what I grow I know is better than what is offered in the store that is non-organic...or organic for that matter cause it is fresher.
we all must take control of our food tables again! most posters on this site are surely educated that way and shop appropriately! that is great!!!!

i agree with every poster!

i look at it this way, if i went to the store and they were like we have these two apples one that is cheap but we accidentally dropped in the mop bucket and one that cost more but is safe and sound on this clean shelf..... i will always pay more for the cleaner one.Reba

I've tried organic and non-organic foods. I can't taste the difference and I cook from scratch now more than ever.
Take two sets of green onions, for example:
1 set is from the grocery store and is not organic.
1 set is from my own garden and is treated every 10 days with Miracle Gro.
However, the green onions I grow at home taste a whole lot better simply because there's no delay between the ground and my dinner table.
I like how people complain that there are too many dangers in foods today, but I bet you while we were all growing up there were many things that we got a hold of that weren't the best for our health.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!
