A mother and her two children were trapped in their burning van, when a group of strangers came to their aid. The bystanders were able to pull all 3 of them to safety. The entire rescue was caught on video, and it had me in tears because of the bravery of the rescuers. Here's the link.

I saw that on the news. Pretty incredible. The family was so lucky to have these brave people nearby when it happened.

I live about 30 minutes from Milwaukee and this has been all over the news here since it happened. Apparently the two firefighter brothers were on their way to pick up a birthday cake when the accident happened. Their wives called them and told them to go see if they could be of help. It was amazing the number of people that jumped in to help. If it had to happen, it was fortunate it happened on the weekend when people were home. The last child removed from the van is in kind of rough shape yet. He had sustained some pretty bad burns. I feel so bad for this family.... they're a long way from home and facing some pretty tough times. Please keep them in your prayers.
