Barking dog UPDATE
Well i called the health department. The person i need to talk to is on vacation. No more barking dog, not sure where it is. She is still fumigating her house, makes me wonder what is living in there. My daughter went to the library today to use the computer, since i was busy on this one,she goes on webkinz, well anyway the next door neighbors daughter was there. Of course they sat my daughter next to this girl ,my daughter requested to me moved. She said she smelled so bad like cat urine ,it about made her puke. They only get 30 minutes on the computer, the librerian said it was time for the other girl to get off her 30 minutes was. She told the librerian NO she wasnt getting off, they had to call the mother at work to come get her child, this girl is 12 or 13.She is banned from the computer. The mother said it wasnt fair, that she was banned from it, that she was just a kid.My daughter turned the other cheek and didnt say a word.So her clothes must be soaked in the urine. Like i said before i can smell her house when i walk out the door. I would think this would be child neglect don't you think?Dcfs are different is each state,i asked my daughter if it was body oder, she said NO it was cat pee.

That is totally sad for that that girl has to live in that environment. Yes, I figure this would be child neglect. The mother has obviously neglected to teach her good manners, which will not help her in life. I'm glad you're not being bothered by the barking dog right now.

cat urine
I believe that you will out of luck getting any help for the young girl that smells like cat urine. I had a student that was like that. My aide even threw up a few times. The students called this young man names behind his back...we tired everything...I bought me shampoo, soap, new clothes. He was suppose to take shower at school each day...he didn't, would change clothes but no shower. I washed his clothing daily. I can tell you once that odor is there nothing seems to get rid of it. I tired everything that you can think of. The administration called CPS several times, over 20 cats in home. CPS said that "it is a life style choice" and that there was nothing they could do. The year couldn't end soon enough for me or any of us that were behind closed doors all day with this student. I honestly don't think he could smell himself and didn't seem to care that others stayed away. His mother obviously had the same problem. Lucky me...years pass and guess who has little sister this coming year.
It is a shame that children have to live like this and basically never learn the different or become hardend to the stigma.
Sorry so long, but thought you might want to hear from someone you did try to help.

Thats what im thinking its a choice. Not much will be done. Its bad enough the child is the product of her mother and the behavior. All i can do is report it, in hopes something will be done. She has a older child that has had children that were taken away by the state.
It makes me sick. There is no reason for people living that way. I know some eldery have bad issues with animals. But this woman is just plain reduculous.Last edited by Nana2two; 08-03-2009 at 11:01 PM.

Oh, that is just awful how her daughter smells and has to act. I am so sorry to hear that any child has to live like that. Hopefully, things will change for this family at some time.

My neighbor is like that..........I couldn't even hang anything outside because if I brought it in it would smell like cat piss........I have tried talking to her and she tells me her cats don't stink......Last month I caught 14 cats......These cats are sick some of them are blind..... nobody wants to do anything about it........I am thankful that she has no children. Just 2 dogs and about 30 adult cats and who knows how many kittens...
It makes me sick.......
Poor kid........most likely he doesn't smell it because he has lived in it to long
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.
