Semi newbie bouncing in from England
Hello, I'm Amanda, I'm 33 and from Oxfordshire (soon to be Berkshire) in England. I joined about 18 months ago but what with one thing and another my internet time was limited and I lapsed but now I'm back again.
At this point in my life, I'm in desperate need to become more frugal, I'm engaged to be married next September (planning on starting a family as soon as possible after that!) and moving house this September (please don't remind me that is next month because I'm struggling to face that fact!). My fiance and I are rather (extremely) impuslive so trying to save money isn't always easy (we decided to move house about three weeks ago, found the one we wanted within a couple of days and put an offer in almost instantly) and so the next few months/couple of years are going to be a struggle particularly for me as I've had to take a pay cut at work (due to the economic climate) and A's birthday is next week!
Well, that's enough blathering on from me, hope to meet lots of nice people here and make friends/share ideas.

Hi and welcome to Frugal Village. The village is a fun and informative place to hang out. You may find the No Spend Challenge a helpful way to curve your impulsive spending. Something worth considering.
