What i have discovered Thanks Guys
I have been unemployed for over a year. Cannot seem to find a job perhaps that was a blessing as I was very busy caring for my parents. When I first became unemployed I challenged myself to save all my unemployment check money to see how we would do without my income. I am so happy to say that even with the cut in DH overtime I have not had to use the unemployment money at all. Thanks to FV for the help and encourgement you have given me thru some very difficult times. It finally dawned on me that if I can not ever find work We will be fine. I now have a nice little nest egg saved. I would like to find something to do part time as when the winter comes I will go stir crazy But if i cant so be it It has amazed me that when you practice frugallity on a regular basis the rewards are endless I now know that we can manage without many things I once thought we could not do without This has been life changing for me. When people ask me how I manage without working I think back to something I once read. "I buy my freedom with my frugality"
Thanks to all on this forum for their wisdom kindness and encourgement you are all amazing

YUP --love that sentence. Buy your freedom with your frugality. Very clever and so happy you realized you could make it. So many don't think they can on less money....but yes they can! COOL

That is wonderful and you have been able to care for and help your parents when you might not have been able to before if you had been working fulltime. I would think you got some joy in being able to do that.

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that you are more than welcome Lora88. We are all here to learn and gain knowledge from each other and can apply what works for us, and ignore what doesn't.
Glad you have been so successful. I, too, love the quote!

I am so glad it is working out well for you Lora! I too, at the moment am unemployed, and I don't have any desire to go back! I am having too much fun being frugal, baking, cooking from scratch, gardening, crafting. I don't miss work one bit and I definitely feel richer now.
