Default That warm feeling of extra cash in my wallet.

This weekend, DH and I sold a bunch of his junk at the local flea market, and after expenses we came home with $236.00. He gave it to me as a belated birthday gift.

At the moment, it's sitting in my wallet, and I'm enjoying the feeling of possibilities for that money, probably more than I would enjoy spending it.

I've thought about banking it, buying some new work clothes, getting a manicure, pedicure, hair cut and colored and a movie with a friend, using it to decorate the house, the garden, pay for the cats checks ups. It goes on and on....

But the way this money is now, anything is possible and it's a great feeling! Does anyone else savor unexpected cash like this?

The longer I hold onto extra cash, the hard it is for me to let it go. I also enjoy the thought (planning) of what I could buy with it more than the actual purchasing. I've even "decluttered" & sold some unwanted things to "encourage" myself to splurge a little. Of course, I still have that money tucked away for a special something.

Maybe a Vera Bradley purse... I've wanted one for almost 2 years.

Or some really great shoes... or a good lamp for the craft area I've dreamed of... or...

Love the endless possibilities of what I could do with it!

This time of year, any cash I get is stashed away in my purse for emergency purposes. It is hurricane season on the Texas Gulf Coast! When hurricane season is over, any cash that is left over get paid on a bill or goes in savings.

I love that feeling! Beware: if you don't spend it on something frivolous now, you'll be spending it on something terribly practical next week.

Ooh, I definitely know and love that feeling! Dh is actually a bigger one for this than I am. He's been known to hold on to "found money" for almost a year before deciding what to get. He likes to do his research first.

I had the same want for several years-for my birthday this year my 3 kids suprised me with a Vera purse and change purse to match. I was so excited.

When I have a little extra cash in my wallet, (not often), I plan and make lists and plan again, then it seems like something that "has to be paid" comes up and I'm thankful I had the money to pay for what ever emergency comes up.

    Enjoy the feeling

Usually aroung here, extra cash does not last long. I had a little extra cushion this summer, and next thing I knew my truck needed $ 550 of work into it, mostly parts. And that was me calling around for the best deal on parts, and getting a deal on the labor too.

If I have any cash in my wallet, it gets spent.

If I have cash tucked away, I enjoy that feeling. And then DH always has a legitimate need for whatever amount I have tucked away. How does he know how much I have in my stash? I never tell him!! Anyway, I'm always grateful!!

It is a wonderful feeling to have a little "extra" cash in the wallet! I also find it harder to spend the longer I hold on to it!!
