Trying Again in Louisiana
Hi everyone!
I joined last year when I was trying to find ideas on using Angel Food. We ended up giving up on it. There were just too many things in the box that we don't eat. After our oldest bought a house and moved away we didn't have anyone to take all of those chicken nuggets and hot dogs.
So I'm back to cooking and shopping the old way and need to keep on track!
I'm Jennifer, 49 and married for 28 years to Scott (53). We're empty nesters. Sam, 24, is a high school teacher. Lizzie, 21, is a senior at LSU. Sam owns his own home but Liz still lives with us when school's not in or just if she feels like coming home. Sometimes I'm cooking for 2, sometimes for 3.
We're fairly frugal over some things (cars, clothing, energy use) and not so hot on others (vacations, eating out, groceries). I'm not a fan of big chain grocery stores and that costs us a bit more than we'd otherwise spend.
We don't really keep a budget and my grocery spending is all over the place. I'm hoping I'll be able to start keeping a record so that I can see exactly what we are spending!
Jennifer
