i think i totaled my car
just what i need.. i was driving home on the garden state parkway and a car came to an almost complete stop,,, of course i was doing 55 and wasnt able to stop in time..
im ok went and had an xray o f my chest(weird as im an xray tech) which was negative.. my bf wanda picked me up and im off tomorrow..but i think the car is a complete loss.. thank god i have good insurance..
im just wondering if i will be found to be at fault.. its hard to come to a dead stop at 55mph.. anyone know what the law in nj is in this case..good news is the state trooper told me i wouldnt be charged or ticketed..i just hope this is true..
called ins co when i got home at 2am.. the worst part.. i was on my way home.. stopped to treat myself to sugar free fudge pops(my fav) and was going to relax.. but no im now a little sure and have to get pain killers(very mild) tomorrow..

If you rear ended the car in front of you it's almost certain that you will be found at fault.
I'm sorry.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Car's can be replaced, you can not, Thank God it was not worse than it was. Even if the law says it was your fault you know it was not so don"t beat yourself up. Diane

Sorry to hear this and I hope you are feeling better. While it is your fault as the insurance companies see it, at least the officer was nice enough to not give you a citation which would definately raise your insurance even more. Hopefully it won't be too much of a raise.

I think its like that in every state. If you hit from behind your at fault even if someone would hit you and pushed u into the car infront of u. I got a ticket like that a few years ago. To close to pumper of the person infront of me.

I'm so sorry!!! I'm glad you're okay.

Unfortunately, I concur with everyone else. No matter how ridiculous it is, you are at fault.
