Moving to NE Wisconsin, any ideas????
Hi Everyone!
In a couple of months, maybe a little longer (who knows
for sure?) DH and I will will be moving to NE WI. Not exactly sure where, but somewhere near Appleton/Green Bay, maybe even north of there. Possibly Michigan like Menominee.
I am not really familiar with the area, but I am aware that there aren't any
of the stores that I shop at up there. So I have no idea what I am going to do up there at first. I have never lived anywhere other than SW WI/ NE IA, so it's gonna be a culture shock movin' to the Northwoods.
My question is this:
Do any of you have any ideas, favorite grocery stores, consignment shops, tips pertinent for up in that area, etc.???
I would really, really appreciate it if anyone had any ideas. Thanks SO much!!!

April, I'm afraid I know nothing about the area, other than I've always wanted to go there! What is bringing on the move?

My husband is originally from the area and upon frequent visits back there I have fallen in love with it . It is so beautiful, and it will be a great place to raise a family
. So we have decided to place our roots there.

Plus Wisconsin has Aldis, Walmarts, Woodmans and lots of stores. Try to do an internet search on Wisconsin. Its my favorite place we have ever been stationed at and I will be sad when the Army makes us leave

April, I think once you know exactly where you're going to be, it will be easier to make suggestions. I have found the grocery chains in WI are kind of regional, so what's in one area may not be in another.
Welcome to WI!
