I have been feeling the same. It has been so cool, I know it's August and we are still suppose to be in the 80's but we have only been in the 60's and I've had to cover some outside flowers already.
The apple trees are full of apples and I'm holding myself back from picking them because I know they aren't ready yet but I'm in the mood to make apple pies, etc.
They are saying in our area we are expecting a harsh winter and I'm starting to prepare already.Daisy

I'm soooo ready for cooler weather! We're have some fallish type weather with overcast skies, light rain, temps in the 70s-low 80s during the day & dipping into the 60s at night. Sorry, I sound like the weather girl, but it really feels so nice & cool outside!
DH noticed the days getting shorter about a week ago. I'm glad the summer is almost over, but I'm not ready for it to be dark at 6pm. Guess, its time to head to the Yankee Candle Outlet & stock up! I do enjoy lighting candles when I get home from work & its already getting dark.
I really need to organize & declutter before the holidays & jump into several Christmas projects. However, being here in the south with more hot, humid weather in September, I seem unable to get started. Maybe I'll work on a list tonight & see what I can get done after work before the weekend.

maybe that's what it is... this time of year i always wanna do "more at home"... be it that I make lots of soup and breads (and bad for me stuff like pastries!) or that I start making things (usually holiday gifts) and fixing up stuff around the house.... sorta prepping everything for winter.
But, I've been doing it now for a couple weeks now... I love it, but I never realized it was something other than "just me."
I love the Fall and the fall weather... it's always made me feel good all around... I wish there were a place that had this type of weather most of the year... I know I'd be happier and healthier.
