    Default #4 Houseape turns 19 Today...I'm a Little Sad

I'm a little sad & happy at the same time -does that make any sense?? Dd is celebrating her 19th bd today & I am sitting here wondering where my little girl with the blonde ponytails dissappeared to....But the same time, I am excited & blessed to see the person that she has become. She has made alot of accomplishments this past year & I have stood in the background watching her work her butt off to accomplish them .She finally made manager at where she works & even took the top awards in her manager's class & she finally bought her first car with the money that she has been saving for the past 2 years -paid for it outright.
Then I also think back to when she was a week old & she nearly died in my arms...when she had to be hospitalized,we didn't know if we would ever be able to bring her home again. & now here she is all grown up & taking life by the horns.
I'm proud of all my children...and this is her special day & I thank my Lord for allowing her to stay with us - she has been such a blessing Happy Birthday Meagan

I think all Mommies experience this. It makes total sense. The whole job is to turn them into wonderful, responsible adults. Then, when we do, it makes us sad because they don't need us anymore.

to you and Happy Birthday to your lovey.

Its a testament to the amazing mother you, that you produce amazing adults. Its hard to let your children go, but you've trained them well. Happy Birthday to your daughter!

I feel your pain and joy, manyhouseapes.

I'm so glad your daughter made it past that time as a baby! Wow, how scary! And to pay for her own car outright...very hard worker. So many memories, huh?

My own two 'boys' are 23 and 25. I am in Northern MI and they are in FL and CA. They both just moved to those areas this year. I'm proud of who/what they are, but my arms feel so empty.

I hear ya. Happy Birthday, Meagan!!

It's so hard when they grow up! But, wonderful, too, when they become independent adults...

Congratulations to your Meagan on her birthday and successes, may there be plenty more of both.

Congrats to you also, great job mom.

p.s...... I am rather partial to that spelling for Meagan that is how I spelled my daughter's name also.
