    Default I'm back from New York

    Well we arrived back from our vacation yesterday evening.
    We had a really really WONDERFUL time. The whole time that we were there the weather was HOT and there was enormous humidity which did slow us down a lot.
    As expected our daughter shopped till she dropped and we took her to see all the sights. She was really in awe of the whiole thing and had many a 'pinch me I must be dreaming moment'.
    Of course our time there was way too short.
    After about 6 days we boarded the QM2 and sailed back towards Europe and we could relax without rushing about like we did in New York.
    Cruising has really become our thing (done it 3 times now) and my challenge is always to find the best cruise/vacation for the best price (it always works and I always manage to find huge discounts).

    Now the challenge is to figure out the finances because of course we bought too much while in New York (the exchange rate made it very nice for us but I had with me - of course - many discounts and coupons which I had looked u/printed on internet before we left).

    Well I would like to say it was great to come home, and it was nice to see the kids again but being on vacation is also VERY VERY nice.

    I'm glad you had a good time and everything went well. Traveling is great
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference

    Dutchie, glad you enjoyed NY. My hubby has cousins in Denmark and they have visited us twice in the last 6 years and each time they too went nuts with the shopping.That's what makes a vacation fun, buying all those things you can't get at home.

    I am so happy you had fun! Of course I wouldn't have expected you to report back with it being any other way. But you know of course as a native NYer I'm kinda prejudiced . Shopping is the "ultimate", but still say it comes in 2nd to eating...lol! You did get your famous NY style frank from a push cart while you were there, right? Oh, I can still smell 'em!

    Well, welcome back to the FV, and for letting us know how it went. Any pics to show us?

    Of course we got the NY style frank (from a push cart), it was delicious.
    What kind of photos do you want to see - the normal touristy ones?
    I warn you though - altogether we have over 150 photos.

    150? Well I'm game if you are! I'm always up to good pictures, even though I might get a little (well lots) home-sick....sniff!!
