    Default Back to school!!!!!!

Today is DD first day of grade one at a new school. I am just as nervous as she is. She had such a hard time last year that I am just praying it goes easyier this year and she can make some good friends.
Anyone else out there having the first day of school jitters?

Oh dear, a new school! I hope your daughter has a wonderful year this year. My daughter had a rough start with kindergarten, I spent a LOT of time there as a result. The only time she liked school was when she had a substitute. First grade went soooo much better. This year she's in 3rd and just shines. I'm certainly sending lots of good thoughts for both of you today, this new beginning. I hope this year she comes to love school, the right teacher can make all the difference in the world.
Yesterday was my kids' first day, unfortunately I had to be to work before they got home and I didn't get home until ten last night. They were long asleep of course. So I woke them up early today to talk about their first day.
My son just started HS yesterday, THAT scares me. And he's decided to take mostly college courses and learn French this year. He's never been much of a scholar, though really intelligent he just lacks motivation. Going to be a busy year.
What are you doing special for your daughter for when she gets home?
