Red flags are HUGE!
I got a call from a company that deals with getting compensation back from PPI taken out on loans and mtg's.
the guy on the phone said i *could* get back atleast 6k but that is before the banks take there % and fees from it so i could be left with not much then i was thinking what does it cost to these guys to get me this money?...
Well he wants an upfront fee of 95 to get the ball rolling then get this 25 a WEEK for 9 MONTHS after this payment.
that works out to be 1045 paid to them to get this claim and what happens if i only get back about 1500 or even 1000 after all this is paid i am still out of pocket.
I told the guy on the phone to ring back tomorrow to talk to DBF as i said i didnt want to do this until he was happy - i know he wont be so when they ring tomorrow DBF will tell them where to stick it - i'd rather not get the claim money if it means we have to pay out over a grand which can be used on something more useful like paying off the car.
The company are emailing me with some details so i shall see if i can dig something up on the internet, see how they really work.Kelly & DH Alex ♥

1) What is PPI?
2) If they want money from you to get money for you, it's a scam.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Payment protection Insurance - there has been a big thing over here that PPI has been mis-sold to people when getting credit or mtg's
I have been gooling the company - Capital Returns Ltd and got a warning from someone not to touch them with a bargepole. lol
I am not going to agree to this i am getting DBF to do that job
i am vary that it could be part of a scam i never trust someone who says 'oh yeah we can get you 6000 back just pay us 1k first tho'

Anything you would pay someone like this to do you can do yourself with some footwork and phone calls! You're right not to fall for their scheme!

this guy called you randomly on the phone, not at your request and offered this service? It's pretty obviously a scam. Turn the info in to your local DA.
