You can do it! If headaches are a problem try to cut back over a week or so like others have suggested. DH had more of a problem w/headaches than I did. We both gave up sodas w/caffeine (not coffee/tea drinkers). I still drink a Sprite most days (no caffeine) & have a Dr Pepper as a treat once in awhile. I didn't have much trouble switching to water & felt fine after a day or 2. I think the sugar thing is more of an issue for me. I want sweets even more (working on this), but no weigh gain since I have those extra calories that I use to waste on sodas. I haven't given up CHOCOLATE & I think that would be harder for me. The biggest surprise has been how well I sleep now... its amazing! Good Luck!

I'd give up the Dr first.

Do you like tea? I just discovered something a few weeks ago. Celestial Seasonings has a herbal called Caffeine Free Herbal Tea, claimed to taste like regular tea. It only comes in a larger 40 bag box. It has no real tea, so no caffeine at all, unlike even the decaf tea. It really does taste remarkably like black tea. I've been drinking it iced and love it.

The first time I made it too strong - it would strip paint -- but I watered it down, and it's good. One day I rebrewed a PG Tips tea bag and it was very weak. I added some of the original paint stripper strength that I had not adjusted yet, and I could not have told it from the first brewing of the bag. I'm going to experiment mixing it with decaf black tea and see if it will make it taste more like regular non-decaf tea.

I'm sold. Unhappily I can't find it locally, but I ordered it from the company on line to try, and when it's gone, I'll definitely get more. I still do caffeine in the morning and can do a decaf mid day, but I am becoming very sensitive to it so I've been looking for alternatives too.

Those bigelow teas don't have caffeine. I love the orange spice tea and make it to drink cold. They also have decaffeinated tea
