    Default Fish Owners?

My FIL took my son to a carnival and Ethan won a goldfish.. So my FIL took him to walmart to get him all the bells and whistles and two more fish!

So now we have 3 Goldfish and Two tanks (because the first tank wasn't big enough!)

    I love having them around!

We didn't realise that we had too many fish to one tank at first (but I am the type I want to know everything about everything) So I ran out and got a new tank to split them up... One might die because of this (but hasn't yet).

Hopefully it will live and not die because we're a bunch of ignernts. =D

    Who else has fish?

We have three tanks. One in my daughters room, it's small, (5 gallon I believe) only a Beta and a very large snail in that one, one in the living room (55 gallon) man different fish in that one and many many snails. ugh! and one other (20 gallon) it has a goldfish (the kind that looks like it swollowed a golfball but so pretty) a red tailed shark and a plecko. Oh and a few snails in that one too. lol Anyone need some snails??

I don't have any at the moment. But I plan on getting one, in just a little tank. Something to brighten up my room and to give me a little friend.

    I'm excited.

I grew up with freshwater community tanks. For a short time, I even raised guppies, attempting to breed a true blue-finned male. I got a few, but never with any regularity. Kept fancy goldfish for a few years, as well.

Now I have my feeder goldfish in their pond up on the hill. They have had a few generations of babies, so they must be happy in there. I love feeding them every day and just sitting next to the pond, watching the fish swim around.

When I was really little, I had a goldfish in a goldfish bowl in my room named (appropriately) Goldie. One night in the middle of the night it had jumped out of the bowl. Lesson learned. Keep tanks covered.

Right now I have a 10 gallon with freshwater community fish and live plants in it. I have a 20 gallon almost ready to go except I don't have filter cartridges. I've been too frugal (okay, cheap.) to go out and get some. I guess I keep hoping somebody has some they want to get rid of.

DD's little friends think the fish tank is cool.
