    Default Need to talk

I am very sad. My son has Ulcerative Colitis - which is flairing up. We had to get an order of protection for my family. My daughters ex boyfriend wont leave her alone. Just lots of personal stuff going on. My husband says try not to worry, but all of this upsets me. I know that my son's condition will be back under control and that we needed to get the court order, it just doesnt make anything easier.

So, just needed to let this out. Thanks for listening.

Life always has its ups and downs. Sometimes it just seems very overwhelming. Exercise seems to help me cope. Hopefully you can find some time for yourself to do something relaxing and help get your mind off of things. It sounds as if you are doing everything you need to for your family.

    Hang in there.

Take a deep breath, calm down, and tell yourself that "this too shall pass" but in the meantime........take care of yourself, and I am sending hugs and hoping things get better for you real soon.

I am so sorry, Dawn. A friend of mine has UC, and stress definitely makes it flare up, so I am sure the one condition is exacerbating the other. I also just recently had a situation where my neighbor violated my personal territory, so I am VERY sympathetic in re: getting restraining orders right now!!

My best to your daughter and to your family. Things have a way of balancing out. I love the Alanis Morisette song where she sings that life has "a funny way of sneaking up on you when you think everything's okay and everything's going right, and life has a funny way of helping you out when you think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up in your face."

As a fellow UC sufferer, my sympathies to your son. Remember to spring for the super soft TP, it's great for the whole family, and makes everyone feel just a little more relaxed.
