Our Walfart is Annoying (Rant)
I don't know if its just where I'm at, but the local Walfart here, in the past few months has:
Stopped selling amonia
Stopped selling Comet or Ajax scrub
Stopped selling the large 64oz bottles Great Value dishsoap (2.76)
Stopped selling 64oz bottles of Ajax dishsoap (2.96)
It used to be that these were the best prices around for my basic cleaners....now I'm doing most of our shopping at Walgreens . GGGGrrrr - Raspberries to Walfart

Ours too have recently stopped sellings many things that I was used to buying regularly in the past. It's very annoying. Plus I can't find anything anymore since the remodel.

The one I shop at has stopped selling some items I used to buy too. I used to get their cold chip/veggie dip and they don't sell it anymore. And there are other things that I can't think of at the moment but I know they didn't have when I went to buy them.

My dogs have always had Iams puppy treats that I got at wal-mart and now every wal-mart in my area have quit carrying them. I go to target now; alot cheaper than pet stores. You know I can't go home without the DOG TREATS!

My local walmart has stopped carrying something I use to buy, Some name brands, some of their brand, and some just not in the size I liked to buy.
It has also happened at our local grocery stores too.
I figured it just the the way things are now.

For me it isn't what they aren't selling, but they are out of what I need. There seems to be a spot on the shelf, but none of it.

I AGREE! And this can be multiple times. I finally even asked a supervisor (so the tag said) if they were having trouble getting their items. No sufficient answer there......
Then when you do find it I feel like I need to buy two or three....just in case.......maybe that is their 'game plan'......I just find that I go there less and less.
Ah yes............THE STORE I LOVE TO HATE!

Unstocked shelves is one of the reasons I stopped going to the WalMart closest to my house. Go there late on a Monday morning and shelves are still bare from the weekend. Go there any weekday afternoon and shelves are bare.
I have asked register clerks, employees walking around and they just shrug and say I don't know or come back later. My time and gas are too valuable to come back later.
I only buy a couple of food items at WalMart (brands my grocery doesn't carry). So when I go to other WalMart's (further away, but on my route) I buy multiples.Mary

I think it depends a lot on the store. I don't go much anymore because with my pain issues, the huge stores are somewhat challenging. However the one in the really upscale shopping area is great -- though crowded -- and the new(er) one, virtually across the street from me seems to have less and I still haven't figured out how some of it is organized.
I often find bare shelves there, but I can't complain about that because almost the only time I go is on the way home from work, about 11:30 p.m, and they are restocking then. What does irk me beyond measure there is that their posted produce prices in that store are an exercise in chaos theory. They will have identical items in several places, all with different prices, and the actual price at checkout is different from any of them. That really, really annoys me. That's just bad management.Last edited by dcompton; 09-09-2009 at 03:44 PM. Reason: To corrent the embarrassing descent into illiteracy

So yeah, what's up with all of the remodeling at the WMs? The one by me looks like it's trying to be another Target. They got rid of their fabric and about 90% of their crafts, which were one of the reasons I shopped there. They also discontinued a lot of the other grocery items I used to buy there. If I wanted to shop at Target, I would just go to Target.
Oh well, I've been trying to buy less and less there, and that just makes it easier.

Walmarts are trying to be more upscale and lure in higher income earners

Wal-Mart would have Kenny Chesney selling me Cracker Barrel cheese and I still wouldn't shop there...
and I loove me some cheese.
I just wish they'd stop luring people into their stores with the false hope that their prices really are hard to beat because I know for sure that they can be beaten by every other store in the area.
