    Default I hate Amazon.com. =(

I ordered Agave syrup yesterday and this morning I get calls from my CC company saying there were fraudulent charges! This is the second time this has happened! I don't feel like it's a coincidence.

    What a bunch of crap.

I am so agitated.. I hear people use this site all the time and I'm the one that gets fraud problems every time.

    DANG IT!

Sorry to hear that. I've used Amazon many times and haven't ran into like this, hopefully I won't. I did a search on google and found several places that sell it so hopefully you'll still be able to get some.

~That is very strange! I've made hundreds of purchases form Amazon and have never had a weird coincidence like that.
Did you report it to Amazon?~

Amazon doesn't sell food directly, so this transaction would have gone through a third party, I think.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I don't know what is going on! All I know is that my card has been stolen TWICE and right after an amazon.com purchase. I'm not sure about the third party thing.. When I ordered it I was sent anywhere else to buy it.. It was still in Amazons graphical interface.

I am a long time buyer on Amazon and have been selling there for about a year and a half. No problems to date.

Wow! I use them constantly and have not had this issue with them. Could you have some kind of virus/spyware type thing on your computer?

I would definitely call their customer service. I have never had CC problems with them, but they have always been extremely helpful when there was (rarely) a problem with a product. They are certainly not going to want a reputation for fraud through their site, however it has come about.

I've never had a problem with amazon either. Are you buying directly from amazon or is it from someone selling on amazon??

Hubby is a big amazon buyer. We have never had a problem.

Are you, by any chance, on Windows XP/Vista and using IE? If so, have you checked your system lately for malware and the like? It may be that it's not Amazon doing the fraudulent changes but a malware/spyware that detects when you purchase and grabs credit card info then.

I agree with Linus and Greebo, something else is going on here. Do a virus sweep immediately. I have bought books from Amazon from years and the service is great. No damaged books. Never had a fraudulent charge related to purchases. Ebay, now thats a different story!!

I think also when you buy from the Amazon Marketplace, Amazon pays the seller. They never get your credit card info.

I'm sorry about your problems. I got some kind of virus on my computer once. Started getting all these racy adds popping up on Craftster and IMDB where before there were none. I got the Kaspersky virus protection and it cleaned up my computer. No problems since.
