Bittersweet news
My husband is a backup driver for his company, when he isn't driving he works the dock loading trucks. The company only has 7 trucks and the drivers deliver at night. We have been hoping someone would retire or quit so he could drive full time, this would be a big increase in pay and he would be salary. Well he may get his wish but unfortunately in the worst way. One of the drivers was in an accident last night and there was a fatality. There was also a witness and it seems this driver crossed the yellow line. Not only will he lose his job, but he could be facing prison. To top it off this kid is a fireman and from what we understand he is out of his mind with grief. His name is Nick. Please say a prayer for him and those involved. He has a small son.

My husband looked up the laws in Pennsylvania where this happened. They recently passed the law that if you cause a fatal accident and they prove you were on your cell phone the charge is automic vehicular homicide. My husband said the first thing out of his boss's mouth was "I hope he wasn't on his cell.". We have learned he was driving 51mph in a 45 or 35(not sure on this yet) zone. He hit one pickup truck and then hit the second one about 3 car lengths bihind it. The man in the second truck wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. When Nick called into his boss, he was asked if he was at fault and he admitted fault. Just doesn't look good for him. Thank for the prayers, keep them coming.
