Update on online offers

A couple of months ago I asked if anyone had done any online offers. You know those pop-ups that happen every now and then and you have to complete a bunch of steps and jump through a bunch of hoops and eventually you are supposed to get the high dollar gift card. I did one from Ideal and it was for a $500 gift card. Well, I got my card! I am so excited! $500 Visa card in my wallet right now.

So, if you are willing to spend the time (about 5 hours total over 2 months) and a little bit of money completing offers (I tried to pick as many free trials as I could, but ended up spending about $60 on some things, which we are using) then it could work. I followed a tutorial at Money Saving Methods, step by step and read up on it for a few weeks before I decided to go for it. You have to be very careful and totally on top of your credit card (don't do it with a debit card) because some of the companies charged my card when they shouldn't have or double charged, etc. So a pain in the neck to straighten out, but I got $500 for it.

Would I do it again? I don't think so, unless we were really needing to stretch our dollars farther. I guess it was worth it for me this time. But knowing what I know now, I don't think I would do it again. Anyway, just wanted to update everyone that it was legit and I got the gift card.
